
Leading French nu-metal band Watcha
(Sony
Music / Columbia) rolled into the Studio
A with American engineer Jon Monrock
to record 12 tracks of drums and guide guitars/bass for their upcoming
4th album. Jon Atack and Watcha were
assisted by seconds Florent Livet, Ludo Mullor and
Laurent Bichara.

Kery James
spent several weeks in the Studio A with
engineer Jeff Dominguez and assistant Fred
N'landu recording and mixing his highly-anticipated next
album, produced by Aymeric Westrich, due out in April
2005. Executive producers Alariana Bird Song Publishing organized
several days of prestigious private listening parties in the Studio
A for the press, Warner
Music executives and national radio Skyrock's
program directors. Also seen in the studio during the sessions: current
chart-topping R&B singer Amel
Bent and the top-selling female rapper in France, Diam's.
TTC (V2
Music), Stomy
Bugsy, Singuila
and Sté
tracked vocals in the Studio B
for a radio remix of TTC's single
"Dans le Club" with Ludo Mullor at the
console. The track was then mixed by Jon Atack and
producer Para-One for V2
Music on the SSL 9000J in the Studio A.
La Fouine (Sony/SMALL)
and Jango Jack were in working together
in the Studio B, dropping vocals and polishing
tracks with Ludo Mullor.
Pearl (Sony/SMALL)
was in recording vocals on several tracks with the Telefunken
U47 tube mic in Studio B with engineer Laurent
Bichara.
Martin
Solveig, elected DJ of the Year in 2004 by the
French media, is currently working in the Studio
A mixing his next house music album on the SSL
9000J with engineer Pascal Garnon
and assistant engineer Ludo Mullor.

Multi-gold French rock band Blankass
(Warner
Music) and their producer/guitarist Johan Ledoux
set up shop in the spacious Studio A to
record their next album with American engineer John
Hanlon, whose credits include work for Neil
Young, R.E.M., T-Bone Burnett, Aretha Franklin, and
the Beach Boys. Ludo
Mullor et Laurent Bichara
assisted the sessions. Most of the recordings took place
with the band playing live and the sound of the Studio A room was
instrumental to the sonic signature of the recordings. John
Hanlon commented: "What a great room to work with. The
recordings sound like The Who: Live at Leeds!"

mix a radio remix of TTC's single "Dans le Club"
featuring Stomy
Bugsy and Sté
for Chronowax/V2
Music. Florent Livet assisted the sessions.
Philippe Zdar of French house duo Cassius
mixed his debut solo album on the SSL 9000J in the Studio
A with engineer Jeff Dominguez assisted by Florent
Livet.
Philippe Zdar mixed several tracks for Chromeo (Chronowax/V2
Music) as well as the single "Into Everything" for Telepopmusik
(Catalogue/
Capitol/ EMI) assisted by Florent Livet in
the Studio A. Telepopmusik's
latest album broke into the Top 100 album charts this week.
Engineer Bruno Sourice mixed 6 tracks for the debut
album of La Fouine (Sony/SMALL)
in the Studio A, assisted by Ludo
Mullor.
Jon Monrock was in the Studio
A to mix two tracks, "Princess" and "Tek Ona",
for Turkish singer/ songwriter Enzo Baris. Before
mixing, Enzo recorded vocals, guitars, keyboards
and percussion in the Studio B with Laurent
Bichara.
Engineer Philippe Weiss and producer Djimi
Finger were in the Studio A
for 11 days with assistant Ludo Mullor to
mix the debut album of young urban artist Wouilo (Boxson/Mercury/Universal).
Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, LES
MIZ of Rec Easy Records dropped
vocals and mixed two tracks for a Maxi LP, "Get Loose" et
"Get Yourself Up", with engineer Jon Monrock
in the Studio A.
Fabien
Martin (ULM/Universal)
was in the Studio A to record and mix a
pop/rock track produced by Herve Paul with engineer
Stephane Prin and assistant Florent Livet.
The song will be released on the Hommage à Nino Ferrer
album with leading French artists on April 18, 2005.
